Base legal, destinatarios y transferencias
LuzHogar privacy policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
LuzHogar ("the app") shows Spain's PVPC electricity price, helps plan when to run appliances, and estimates the bill. It is developed by SDD SL, based in Spain, which is responsible for its handling of data. For any privacy question, write to info@hesperialabs.com.
What stays on your device
Your appliance plan, always-on devices, contracted power, tariff figures, settings and any consumption readings you import are stored only on your device. They are never sent to the developer or anyone else.
When you import your distributor's consumption file, the app reads the hourly readings and does not keep the supply point code (CUPS) or the file.
If Android backup is on, the system includes this data in your Google account's backup so it can be restored on a new phone. Google runs that backup for you; the developer has no access to it.
What the app sends
- Electricity prices. The app downloads the public PVPC prices from Red Eléctrica de España (apidatos.ree.es and api.esios.ree.es). These requests contain none of your data.
- Crash reports. If the app closes unexpectedly, it sends a technical report through Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service: the device model, Android version, app version, the technical trace of the error and a random installation identifier, along with technical connection data such as the IP address. It is used to find and fix bugs. It is on by default, and you can turn it off in Settings → Privacy.
- Anonymous usage statistics (optional). Only if you turn them on in Settings → Privacy, the app tells Google Analytics for Firebase which features are used: which tab is opened, that an appliance was planned (its duration, today or tomorrow, and whether it has a finish time), that reminders were switched on or off, the result of importing a consumption file, and that price history was opened. They are off unless you turn them on, and you can turn them off again at any time.
The app never sends your appliance names, readings, consumption dates, CUPS, contract details or region. It has no user accounts, shows no ads, does not use the advertising ID, and does not sell or give your data to third parties.
Legal basis, recipients and transfers
- Crash reports rely on the developer's legitimate interest in keeping the app working (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)); you can object by turning them off.
- Usage statistics rely on your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), given by turning them on and withdrawn by turning them off.
- Google Ireland Limited processes this data as a processor on the developer's behalf. Google may process it outside the European Economic Area, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. More: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Retention and deletion
- Data on your device stays until you delete it in the app (for example, Usage → Delete readings) or uninstall the app.
- Firebase Crashlytics keeps crash reports for 90 days. Google Analytics keeps statistics for the period set in the project, 2 months.
- This data is not linked to your identity. To have it deleted, write to info@hesperialabs.com with the app version and the approximate date.
Security
Everything the app sends is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Data on your device is protected by the device's own security.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability by writing to info@hesperialabs.com. If you believe they have not been handled properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (https://www.aepd.es).
Children
The app is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with its date. If the change is significant, the app will say so too.
